Sofia Spiropulo serves as Vice President of Cal Poly Democrats, where she works alongside the executive board to bring accountability, opportunity, and community to CPD. She began her involvement in local politics as an intern with the San Luis Obispo County Democratic Party during her freshman year, an experience that deepened her commitment to the club and to pursuing a career in politics and public service.  

Sofia is a sophomore, and last year marked her first year at Cal Poly and with CPD. In her role, she is committed to creating more opportunities for meaningful member involvement and fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive community. She hopes to encourage members to take an active role in CPD by creating spaces where everyone feels comfortable sharing their ideas and is excited to contribute to the organization. Through these efforts, she hopes every member can find a strong sense of belonging, connection, and fulfillment within CPD.

Aside from CPD, Sofia serves as a College of Liberal Arts Ambassador, holds the role of Recruitment Chair for Women in Politics at Cal Poly, and is an active member of Alpha Chi Omega. When she's not talking politics, Sofia can usually be found spending quality time with her friends and family, hiking, cooking vegetarian food, thrifting, and working on her Spanish fluency.
