Marlee Rutowicz serves as Social Media Director of Cal Poly Democrats, where she manages the organization’s Instagram and helps bring CPD’s work, events, and community to life online. From creating content and designing graphics to keeping followers informed, Marlee works to make sure the club’s social media a welcoming and engaging space for members and the broader campus community.

Marlee is a second-year Political Science major on the pre-law track with a minor in Economics. She is passionate about helping students stay connected to the issues that matter to them. Outside of CPD, Marlee interns at the San Luis Obispo County Democratic headquarters, where she works alongside local candidates running for office and helps manage the social media. After graduation, Marlee hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in politics.

When she’s not creating content or catching up on the latest news, Marlee can usually be found spending time at the beach, at the gym, hanging out with her sisters, or listening to Taylor Swift.
